Freakishly close to two months since this ordeal began [or five months if you count all that times I tried to fix him] his preamp is in and Igor is back at the shop! The dude said that Igor should ready to come home in a few days. [Let's say Murphy Law get's tied up in this and it will be a week, AKA the day I go back to school.]
The dude also said the part came from Asia, which explains why it took over six weeks to arrive.
